我個人就覺得歌曲開首及結尾的 "she's buying a stairway to heaven" 用buying這個字是有著諷刺現世宗教的意味。
而更引起我聯想的是stairway to heaven。耶穌說我是道路真理和生命，跟這詞互相輝映，個人覺得祂說的我是指每一個人，每一個人都是一條通道，通往神的通道，而如何才能看到這條通道？
尼采說："人類是一條繫在動物與超人之間的繩索，一條高懸於深淵的繩索，要從一端越過另一端是危險的。人類之所以偉大，正在於他是一座橋樑而非目的；人類之所以可愛，正在於他是一個跨越的過程與完成。我鍾愛那些只知道為完成而活的人，因為他們正是一個過程的跨越者。"
