i recently thumbed thro' a book named "me to we" by the founder of a philanthropic organization "me to we", inside the text it mentioned in 2002 a lecturer of US University spared $350 every month for helping any person in short-termed need, a pair of glasses for a disabled mom/ bills-settlement for a recently laid-off manager,etc. so he made a web site to let related people to post their requests to him - www.modestneeds.org
what a creative idea! so it doesn't matter how little ability you have, your determination does matter, no matter which aspect you are aiming.

The recent hit fashion designer - Raf Simons not only got the bull horn of the big brand "Jil Sander" but also the label of his own name drew attentions from the whole fashion population. i appreciated his items on stage and i have come across his retail products in LaneCrawford that also align my expectation for him. In his retail outfits, i most liked his use of colours of blue and green -- that kinds of blue and green (also his grey in A/W'08) i felt manifested the main tone of English Artist - John William Waterhouse (1849 - 1917). The "in" of Mr Waterhouse's blue & green i felt is related to natural evolution of the former (1853 - 1890)Van Gogh's blue-hit in fashion field. But i dun know if the fashion trend would go further to the blue period of Picasso later.

應該係2006年，那夜欣賞完現場，就開始望佢出碟。差不多3年，終於等到。(好彩唔洗3年又3年啫。) 容我人心不足，旋即喊：『愈大鍋、愈快樂』已經等咗就嚟2年，點解重未出？

London indie band sound leads music trend this Summer

what 's in in trendy music this Summer? London- indie band sound is the answer. like the bands "the ting tings", "dirty pretty things"; they are not so heavy-mooded like "my chemical romance" or not so accurate-formatted as "Rihanna" / Madonna; or not so angry as "soulfly" or head over the heel not so laid back as "Electronica"/"Andy Cato". so what is it like? easy, just contrary to the above descriptions : inspirative, realistic but playful, serious but not strict, characterised. their music have their own vision not only style.

a black sheep

i always think that i am a black sheep in my home family, like the say of Dr Nietzsche "All mentalities must be reevaluated yourself." and the best way to reevaluate is to experience once over. why should i bother to reevaluate? to clear the obstacles is the reason.

killer heat

around the whole July, people seemed getting fierce with the uprising temperature ---
i) early July in London- a french boy was cruelly killed (over 30 stabs throughout the body) by 2 English boys ;
ii) early July in Japan - a man committed homicide of about 7 strangers in the street with knife, in revenge to his own dreadfully boring life;
iii) early July in Shanghai - a peking man rushed in the Shanghai police station and got lives of 6 policemen away, protesting his suppressed life along from childhood;
iv) mid-july in U.S. - in U.S. a man got in sight in a BBQ party and shot down a few people;
v) Early Aug in Canada- a chinese man (Mr Lee) immigrated from China 4 years ago hacked impulsively with knife the western boy beside in a midnight-bus and cut his head off.

as most of the above killers are alleged nice all along their lives, aren't they probably also long-suffered victims? Maybe they are escaping from the inner threat in the violent way.
